The machine is about a year or so old. About a month ago, the "chugging" sound we used to hear when the steamer was delivering heated milk ceased. It now just jets out cold milk (no chugging sound) as if it is just using the steam pressure to pull the milk directly from the external receptacle and push it out the nozzle into the cup, bypassing the heating process. When you choose "STEAM" from the options, it still behaves has before (tells you "Heating" and then "Ready")
