Stuck in Menu and remote locked out
Symphonic ST424FF 24" Flat Screen. I programmed a new Jumbo Sentry universal remote and it worked until my daughter pushed the "OK" button on it. It muted the TV, rendered the remotes useless and put a menu on the screen that looks like a programers menu with HEX options. The TV Menu button will scroll through the HEX options but it won't exit this menu mode and go back to normal or turn the sound back on. I powered it off (all night) then on and the menu is still on the screen. The picture displays just fine - behind the mystery menu options.

Try to reprogram the universal remote with that same code and try pushing the buttons on it to see if you can make it go away. i found a code for my remote that would bring up some text int he corners and i never found out what it was. got it to go away by pushing the same button.
You may want to change the batteries in the remote and reprogram it. Let me know if that works. kim
