Stuck on but not playing and no button response
My player worked fine for years. All of a sudden, it stopped and got stuck on. The screen looks like it is playing and displays the menu. none of the buttons change anything including the power. to turn it off, i have to remove the battery. when i put the battery back in, i get the same problem. also, when i press the reset button, it iwll restart to the same problem. also, when i hook it via usb to my computer, it is not recognized. anyway to really reset this and make it work?

When the EAX screen appears tap it hard on the right side, just above the menu button. Seriously, it works. I had to tap several times, finally really hard, but the machine came back. Many others have posted this tip.
