Su-g91 I have a Technics SU-G91 amplifier. When I turn the system on it works but the amplifier turns off after about 10 minutes. When the system cools, I can turn the unit on again, and the system works. I noted that the fan in the back of the amplifier does not start at all. I do not know if the fan is suppose to come on as the unit is turned on. Any suggestions?
I have the SA-AX540 and the fan never seemed to come on. I just had an old 12 volt AC-DC adapter and rigged the wires from the fan to it and plugged it in the extra AC plug in the back of the amp.
Although my issue is that mine doesnt get very loud before the overload cuts the sound out. Solders are all good... no shorting, but some extra milli volts over the speaker terminals. I'm thinking it's a failed internal amplifier component.

Have you checked the fuse in the unit?
