Suddenly making noise from above the refrigerator behind the vent
We were having our morning coffee, when we heard a "noise" coming from the vent above the side by side frig. It sounded like a fan whirling and when we would open the door, it stopped. We tried to pull the vent off and then it stopped. What is the problem?

Almost certainly there is an ice build up which has eventually migrated to the fan blade. Do a 12 hour defrost to ensure a proper "defrost", then try again. Very possible the door was left open slightly by accident.
