Suzuki TCM issue
Hi. Disconnected battery terminals on a suzuki swift cvt k12b engine for a clean up. On reconnection the transmission warning light is on . I hooked up a scanner and found a p1708 fault in tcm ecu. The description is self learn fault. I tried to erase the dtc. Erase is ok but when i read the dtc it is immediately back. Oil is ok and pressure looks ok. Drive is normal. However light is on for the last 2 days. Is this a normal problem and error on cvt for battery disconnection?. Any advice how to solve this problem. Tried to re calibrate the cvt but procedure stops due to this dtc.

What did you mean disconnecting for clean up --did you power wash the engine [[big mistake ] no not a common problem seem during clean up you could have disconnected or damaged something
You did not post the year of the vehicle Newer model years can forget what the programming is when the battery is disconnected and the only way around the issue is to have a dealer re-flash the TCM. This is not cheap.
