Switched from a g4 PowerPC to a g5 Intel Imac and now Mic has a lot of digital hiss
Anyone have this experience? It sounded incredibly clear on the g4 tower, the only noise it picked up was from the incredible loud computer. Now I have a really quiet Imac running osx 5 and there is a ton of digital hiss.
If I turn the input level in Apple MIDI Setup all the way down the hiss still exists. Its definitely not picking up any external sound like a fan or anything like that. Is this a USB power issue? Is this some other sort of issue? I am incredible disappointed that the quality is so incredibly downgraded now.
Can anyone help, it would be greatly appreciated.

The Samson C01U picks up the noises running inside the computer, or laptop whichever you have. You can't change that. But if you want to get rid of it. I use Cool Edit Pro. There's this effect we have for Noise Reduction. I won't go further on unless you have this program, or something similar. But basically it takes out any unwanted static
