There is no way to get the numbers from the SIM card to the computer. If you save the numbers to your phone, then you sync to your computer, you may be able to get the contacts, however I was still unable to do it this way, and T-Mobile said that it was not possible.
I found a way around this without having to manually type my contacts into my computer. I synced my phone with my TomTom via bluetooth. The TomTom uploads the phonebook, it's a feature of many GPS Navigation units. Then I synced the the TomTom with my MacBook and I got all my contacts to my computer, including contacts saved to the SIM card AND contacts saved to the phone.
If you have a GPS system, this will work for you as well. If not, come up with some other intermediary with which you can sync via bluetooth and send your contacts to that intermediary. Then sync that intermediary with your PC and you will get your contacts backed up on your computer.
It's a roundabout mess, but this is one of the drawbacks of this phone. I've tried everything else to get the phone to directly send my contacts to my computer and it just won't do it. You can get your pictures, videos, music, etc.; but you can't get your contacts. Sucks.
