SyncMaster 204B - when pc goes into blank screen mode (normal) the monitor does go black (normal). But when waking up PC the monitor just start flashing the screen extremely fast, progressing slower and slower until the screen stablizes. Some times it just stays frozen with a black screen. Can not turn the monitor off, it must be unplugged for a few seconds and when plugged back in, the screen may or may not display correctly. It does this in both Analog and Digital modes. Taking it in for service is not a solution, its out of warranty; as suggested in the other "solution" given another person asking this similar question. I don't have schematics but it appears to me to be something simple that can be replaced by someone capable of circuit board repairs
