System starts up does its thing then bulb shuts down projector goes into cool down mode and shuts off can restart but does same thing used can air to blow out possible dust but it did no good I have not used projector for some time

You need to replace the lamp and balast at this time the sensor on the balast is telling the projector its to hot and what is hap-pending is the fans is not cooling it down or the sensor is stuck open so there for you would replace both lamp and balast, Hope this helps please do talk to radio shack about getting the parts for this machine please do click the accept button for my advice and efforts.
