t3012775-flip_video_broken_lens_get I will like a similar step by steo on fixing the LCD Flex Cable for the flip ultra hd So that i can do it your self repair job if possible
Video Cameras - Pure Digital - Flip Video Ultra Camcorder
I don't think the screen issue has anything to do with a flex cable, I don't see how it could go bad. You might have to replace the entire screen.
in order to get to the screen the unit needs to be taken apart, you need to unscrew any screws on the case, and check for any hidden screws under soft objects and labels and anything that comes off of it.
once you have all the screws out the casing will be held together with plastic clips. you need to go around the case on the opening - cracks where the front and back of the case attach to each other use your fingernails or a plastic stick or a flat screw driver to release them, note that the screw driver will probably leave bad marks on the case of the camcorder, so fingernails or something else would be best.
carefully open up the case and disconnect any cables or wires that are on the way.
In order for me to provide similar step by step instructions I would need to have the camera with me and take it apart myself.
you can take a look at the lcd and any cables that go to it or from it, but they are probably OK, and the problem is something else.

Hello
you can purchase the replacement lens here
http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m570&_nkw=flip+video+lens+
The instructions on the page you linked seem good, you remove the old and put on the new one from ebay.
let me know if you require further assistance.
Thanks,
Ekse
