Tascam 2488 Portastudio screen
My portastudio sits on a rack in a heated room. After not being used for
over a year, when I turned it on there a small black marks inside the lcd screen, not totally obscuring the read out but annoying at the least. I've left the studio powered up for several weeks to try and cure this problem, no luck. Any ideas out there?

You could add an HGR monitor interface module to display the 2488 on a PC monitor.

That way you don't need to look at a damaged display and the 2488 (MK1, MKII and NEO) work just like before.
The LCD screen is cracked. Nothing you can do to make that go away.
