Hi,

I have a Tascam FW-1804 interface that's giving me a bit of grief.

Every few minutes or so the playback freezes. I can still use my computer and I can still open and close view windows in the DAW, adjust parameters, levels, etc.... it just freezes the playback head and transport controls, every 3 or 4 minutes for about 5 - 10 seconds. Additionally, if I'm running an instrument plug in, like superior drummer 2.0 for example, it seems to store whatever midi notes I play during the freeze and plays them all in one strike as soon as the playback head starts to move again.



I've updated the firmware for the 1804, the drivers, my toshiba a-100's chipset drivers and everything I can think of.



I'm quite certain that the problem is with the 1804 because I also own an M-Audio Firewire 1814 and a firewire 410... both of those units work flawlessly on the same system using the same cables, DAW, files, settings, etc.



Any help would be greatly appreciated.
