Tascam us-144 no sound with Windows Vista
I'm trying to use my Tascam us-144 with a new pc. Pretty high end pc with 4gb of ram 2.26 proc. speed but when I plug it in my usb on the computer and try to run another audio program like itunes I get a popping and clicking noise then no noise at all. Even when I try to run Cubase I get no sound. I've done all the drive updates and changed the settings in cubase to recognize the Tascam but I still get the problem. I am using a 64bit version of Vista but the Driver updates supposedly fixed the previous incompatibility problems. Someone Please help

Often, you just need to ensure that your computer's native driver is disabled, this is a common problem with audio interfaces and windows. Once this is done, make sure that your Tascam is set as both the input as well as the output device for all audio-based programs. If this doesn't work, get an M-Audio . . .
