What would cause this problem? I checked the five selenoids in the top of the transmission and all show 4.9 ohms. The trans fluid is red and not burnt.
It is very likely the Torque converter clutch has failed, it is shorted, all you checked was the solenoid that operates that clutch, the clutch is magnetic and when it gets hot the coil of wire that close the clutch are most likely shorted, this draws allot of current and has caused the fuse melt down, the TCC (torque converter clutch) is part of the torque converter assembly, to replace the TCC u must replace the torque converter, this requires removing the transmission from the car.
