Problem in the part of the power supply that feeds the tweeter amp. Fix the power supply and epoxy the board where it needs to be epoxy. Best of Luck! Serge Lavallee.
So you replace the two dollar ic and it blows up , remove the output of the transformer and measure them and i doubt that your main capacitors or a smaller ine has to be dead(if your transfor works right) and i would replace the rectifier ic 4 legs with one longer, near the large capacitors. I din't need it negative but a new amp ain't worth the speaker, but it's an easy fix, look otherwise on diy sites for guys in your hood which know basic electronics, good luck
It's understandable that they give a nice sound with the tda7293, but
often i see that think they can use it as 100watt amp, while a nice working space , which keeps the sound nice and the ic cool is 60Watts . Those things get pretty hot . I hate those cheaper made pcb's...like in a oem turntable, almost can't be done with having two traces which needs to be repaired, while recapping. And btw the m3-8 from m-audio ha the same problem when you remove the pots for better ones, instead of the cheap stuff. I'd rather pay 50 euro more per monitor and then having a somewhat morepowerfull psu, which none has in this pricerange and just normal brand capacitors.
Btw, use only a tiny bit epoxy, since it expandsIt's understandable that they give a nice sound with the tda7293, but
