Technics repairs melbourne
Wharfedale super 12 fsal foam surrounds have crumbled out - can they be replaced. I purchased these in my system in 1959 (yes that's right, last century)and I haven't used these speakers for more than 15 years.

Carl,
On the face of it, this suggestion probably seems rubbish, however, drop Wilmslow Audio a line. Although they're in the UK (I'm assuming you're in Australia, unless it's the Melbourne in South Derbyshire!), they carry a massive stock of spares and parts for a wide range of manufacturers. See what they say. They'll give you a price as well if they have it. Might not be cheap, but at least they'll know if they're still made.
The other option is to scour Ebay and/or Gumtree (if you have the latter in Oz). Craigslist is another, but I think new old stock would be the way to go if you can get them, else you're potentially at risk of being back where you started with an older set after a short while.
Hope that helps.
