Pilot assembly stuck on "off" position after winterizing and will not depress and turn to "on" or "pilot". Pool has been converted to salt, and valve assembly may be salt corroded possibly. Do I force the knob to turn and risk breaking it,or can I simply replace knob assembly (appears to have only 2 star-shaped small screws holding it down) without fear of blowing up the heater, or having to purchase a whole new gas valve assembly. The heater is 11 years old, and newer gas valve is 2 years old. Thank you for your cooperation in getting the pool heated up for our very short 3 month Winnipeg pool season!!!!
