Text appears fade & sometimes brightness is found high on screen
I have a CRT Monitor of NEC MultiSync V-700. It is used about ten years. Recently 2 Problems are observed :
1) Text is appeared fade and cannot read clearly.
2) Picture appears clearly but sometimes brightness increases to high or decreases to low for a few seconds/minutes.
If possible, please send me solution. It is noted that i am not a professional expert but a Hobbyist.

Sorry to disagree, but the tube itself is rarely the problem. Since this appears to recover somewhat, I would first search for poor solder connections at the driver transistors on the pc board that resides on the neck of the tube. If the connections are sound, the next probable solution would be to replace the driver transistors. Check also for poor connections on the main board around the flyback transformer area.
Please note that there are potentially dangerous high voltages present even with the unit unplugged. If you have no experience working on these types of units, please seek assistance from a service tech.

Both are signs of a worn out tube. The only thing you can do (apart buying a new monitor) is to increase the focus and acceleration tensions on the tube - by tweaking the corresponding semiadjustable resistors.
