The 360 rotation motor runs (Motor can be heard rinning) But the scope wont rotate. As the product is out of waranty, is it a problem that I could fix my self, as i'm pretty handy with a screw driver & able to fix most things. But with this scope I seem to need blue prints & advice on how to dismantle the scope, as there doe'snt seem to be any visable way to dismantle the thing

You can send this into Meade for repairs. http://www.meade.com/support/index.html
Or you can disassemble the base and look inside. I suspect you have either a loose or broken worm gear inside the base. There are manuals available on the Meade web site but they do not give any disassembly instructions. Call Meade at the phone number above or try taking apart the base and look inside. Only Meade will have replacement parts.
I'm having the same trouble with my DS-2114. To disassemble the base, there is one bolt (metric) in the center of the lower unit. I located 2 broken plastic parts that hold the motor and set of gears. When I called Meade I was told that they, conveniently for them, don't sell individual replacement parts, I'd have to buy a whole new mount at $229. If anyone has a lead on where to buy just the parts I'd be grateful. I think it's ridiculous they won't let me buy these parts that might cost $20. I am very disappointed in their customer service.
