The beast refuses to recognise my SATA drive
I have added a 160 Gb SATA drive to my system. This works OK as an external drive in a caddy,has been formatted, and contains my backup files. It is not recognised by my system on powerup. The cables are as supplied with the motherboard.

Look for any drivers missing, i the device manager.
Especialy the chipset driver: VIA HyperionPro Driver.
And use windows update, for the latest service pack release.
