The beater brush on my Bissell 6596 is not moving freely. Is there a lubricant to free up the spinning end piece or a way to remove and clean this thoroughly? I burned up another belt trying to fix it
First, though, check to see if the brush spins freely. With the belt off try spinning manually. If it spins okay, you may be getting too large a belt. Or not making sure it's got the right tension.First, though, check to see if the brush spins freely. With the belt off try spinning manually. If it spins okay, you may be getting too large a belt. One end of the brush is not centered as if to be worn inside the roller. I am looking to purchase a new beater brush. The assembly rubs on one edge of the brush and burns up the belt. One end of the brush is not centered as if to be worn inside the roller. I am looking to purchase a new beater brush. You can try petroleum jelly. It works good. Just don't get any near where the belt loops around.
