The belt on my Kirby G3 wore out, and I bought replacement belts from two different sources--one an official Kirby supplier and one a store brand. Neither belt is long enough to catch the belt lifter when it is rotated and to reach the drive shaft

Kirby has only had 1 belt from day one. sometimes you do need to push the belt up to catch the belt lifter
