The bottom plastic panel of my EdgeStar AP 14000 HS is cracked and leaks water. It is still under parts warranty so I expect a free replacement panel to be provided by EdgeStar. Question: how do I install this panel? Will the old one lift off after I take the bottom casters off?

I just replaced this pan on my unit. I have to admit it was more of an issue than I predicted. You need to remove the screws from the back cover of the unit. Then you can swing the back cover up like a hinge until it is sitting upside down on top of the front cover. Be careful not to damage the wires connecting to the circuit board. You can then remove the circuit board. After the circuit board is removed, you can remove the screws and the front cover. (note, you will have to spread the front cover to get the tabs on the center mounting locations to pop over the frame. After the front cover is removed you will see several things mounted to the base. I removed all of the fastners including the large nuts holding the compressor down. Then with some help, from a second person I lifted the unit and pulled the base away. I had to remove the yellow ground wires from the compressor in order to remove main unit. you will notice now that there are a few pieces attached to the base. I removed each piece and reinstalled it on the new base. then I assembled the entire unit in reverse.
