The "Check Inlet" light comes on (Flashes) on my Miele W828 washer often. I have checked the hose for kinks and blockages and all is ok. The problem appears to be rectifiable temporarily by gradually turning on the water supply tap when the machine is on a fill cycle as oppossed to having water pressure against the machine shut-off valve when the valve is commanded open in a cycle

The solenoid has a rubber diagphram inside it with tiny holes in it which could be blocked or the diagphram is no longer serviceable and requires replacing. you probably have to replace the solenoid body complete.
