The "Cleaning Overdue" light on my Quadra Ionic Breeze will not stop blinking, and the machine is not working. I've had it 3 months. I have cleaned everything. I have "reset" it by someone's instructions. Still the light comes on after a couple of minutes and the machine isn't working. Please help, someone

Remove the cartridge and look at the bottom. There is a feeler bracket that guides the two rear thin wires while the cartridge is being inserted. This "feeler" can melt and become disarranged. If you see any signs of burnt plastic discontinue use of the breeze. This was a charactoristic problem with these from the beginning and caused the company to fold over the next couple of years. If the bracket looks okay, then the problem lies in the PCB under the control knobs and can only be repaired by a skilled electronics repairman. Thank you, Dana
The blinking light problem you are facing for "Cleaning Overdue" alert is due to short circuit in collector cell and other components associated with it.
Please check the following:
1) No pieces of fine lint should be bridging the plates or the ionizing wires, to the ground.
2) Check if you see any burn marks due to short circuit at the contact points of the collector cell and inside the unit.
There is a lawsuit filed against Sharper Image's Iconic Breeze product, you may check with their customer care on their website if they are currently servicing this product as the original firm has sold the brand to a joint venture between Hilco Consumer Capital, Gordon Brothers and Bluestar Alliance.
There are two possibilities here that maybe keeping this from resetting. First, there maybe moisture at the bottom of the plates where they contact the housing's contacts, I use an air compressor to completely dry any type of moisture. There is also a trick many of us use when we are through cleaning, we rotate the device upside down without the plates installed. Flip the unit upside down and then right-side up several times before replacing the plate assembly. Good luck
