That is certainly a possibility I guess. The clutch goes straight to the floor, did this happen over time or all of a sudden? I would check the linkages looking for anything that might have come apart, broken bolts, nuts coming off, etc. While inspecting the linkages you will find a section or sections where adjustments can be made. The problem could be there, where something loosened up or that the only thing needed is just to be adjusted. Have you removed the inspection plate under the clutch assembly to check things out in there. If things are not right in there I think it will be obvious what is wrong. From your question, this is a full size tractor you are talking about. That is about all I can think of for you to do without more info. I hope this helps you out even a bit.
