At Fry's electronics, BestBuy, and Comp USA, if you bring in the power supply to them they will replace it at no charge.
The only thing you have to do to get it is to ask nicely.
I was told this at all 3 places, they all said pretty much the same thing every time, as long as you are polite and ask nicely, then they will replace it with no problem.
Now, if you go in ther mad, demanding it to be replaced, then they might just tell you to get out of their store, and not replace anything, that, or they might get you a new one, and charge you the 30 bucks that it costs to buy it.
All the stores have an unwritten policy on things like that.
Also, if you have it, check your printer power supply, sometimes they will work if nothing is available.
