The driverside back light is out. When i remove the bulb and the place back into the socket the light comes on. Then when i switch the lights off and then on again the back goes out again. Could this be the rev counter or something else?

The filament inside the bulb is fractured and when you move the bulb it arcs and connects. put a new bulb in it.
