The DVD player in my set keeps ejecting the DVD mid-play
I have contacted many supposed helplines, including Harvardplc who after asking me to remove and photograph the DVD unit, concluded they were unable to help. I can fit a new unit if only I can find where to buy one. Help please Nick Astley-Cooper (01235 835077)

Hi well look a DVD is a DVD is a DVD, all you need to do is obtain another one, and I would suspect that it will simply be a standard unit? ALL SATA and IDE are all the same effectively. So what you can do is obtain the correct "Format" of the DVD either SATA or IDE, I suspect it will be SATA, and simply try it, it will do NO harm, and at worst simply wouldn't work The best place to obtain this part will/would be Grundig itself. To get the actual parts number, obtain a service manual, this will show you how to repair the unit as well as this it has ALL parts numbers etc too. Accordingly I provide a download link below for you. Also most likely you would be able to obtain one from your local computer shop too, as said they are all the same...You just need a High Density DVD re-writer just get the one in the service manual, or search the 'net using that target="_blank">http://www.eserviceinfo.com/equipment_mfg/Grundig_2.html
Make contact with Grundig support and they will help you. link below.
