Sounds like the carb is needing a good cleaning. Get a spray can of Berryman's Carb spray cleaner. Take the carb off and clean the carb bowl (if it's a 4 stroke motor) and remove the gas line, and with the spray tube nozzle, spray out as much of the jets, orifices, etc in your carb, let it dry out and reassemble. Also, take the air filter/cleaner off and make sure it's clean. If it's full of dust and dirt, it will choke the carb off and it'll die at idle. You can test this by removing the air filter element and starting the tiller. Alot of the small engines have a low oil sensing device and will shut down the engine if there is insufficient oil in the crankcase... be sure to check that too. Let me know how it goes. K
