The fan (blower ) for heat and air con wont go on my 2003BA Falcon,
Was told that the HIM computor that controlls the air system was at fault and would cost over $1000 to fix. this seems a lot for a fan controll that doesnt go, is there any way of bi-passing this and repowering another switch to get the fan motor to run, Thanks

Hi there,
As your HVAC system is monitored by the computer, a faulty fan will register the appropriate fault codes. The code/s will identify the cause of the problem.
Have your codes read by your local Ford dealership (do not take to any other garage). Reading codes at a dealership takes less than 10mins, so the dealership shouldn't charge much for this exercise.
Preferably have the dealership show you the codes during the test, to confirm it is what they say.
I believe there is no way to circumvent the computer to operate the blower, as the blower is also reliant on other HVAC circuits and sensors.
