The filters on our viking hood keep falling out. Seems like when a little grease builds up on the ledge of the hood the filter comes crashing down on the stove. Anyone else having this issue? Better yet anyone have a solution as to how to keep these filters from falling out??
I'm having the same problem, and I'm fed up. One of these days the filter is going to fall into a boiling pot and potentially seriously injuring someone. I'm surprised this isn't a recall issue with these hoods. I've temporarily fixed it by applying exhaust muffler tape to the filter and hood where it rests ( on the area closest to the wall). This is a temporary fix, however. I do plan on taking this serious problem up with Viking. This is a serious design flaw that can be potentially very dangerous.
