I’ve been having the same problem with my gas heater but this is what I found out. The heater has an oxygen depletion sensor (ODS). The ODS shuts down the heater if not enough fresh air/oxygen content is available. If the heater shuts off, do not relight until you can provide fresh, outside air. I hope this helps.
Please guys help if one found an answer. Also bought Cadac brand with my sister and both of them have the same problem. they did that straight from the box and they were the last ones at the Achievement Awards Group where she got them. They less than a month old :(
I bought this heater on Sunday 22 June 2020 and it’s doing the same thing. Have you guys found a solution?. I’m thinking of returning it to the store. I bought it at OK furnitures.
Looks like the thermocouple fault but try holding in the button for 20 seconds before letting go. Check pilot flame on thermocouple tip. The thermocouple keeps the flame alive.
I bought my Goldair unit at builders in May 2020 it had the same problem.I exchanged it now in June and got a new one but it still has the same problem. It doesn't even last 30minutes after igniting it then it switches off, when trying to switch it back on it goes off again.I bought my Goldair unit at builders in May 2020 it had the same problem.I exchanged it now in June and got a new one but it still has the same problem. It doesn't even last 30minutes after igniting it then it switches off, when trying to switch it back on it goes off again.
Faith Sithole, I am having the exact same issue as you. I’m also South African, bought this Goldair unit from Builders’ Warehouse last week (early June 2020) and was thinking of exchanging the unit, but you say you are having the same issue with your exchanged unit, and so many people have posted issues that I’m thinking it wasn’t worth the money I spent. Will keep you posted if I find a solution.

It is June 2020 here is South Africa and I have a three week old Goldair and i am having the same problem, by the way this is my second unit; the first one had the same problem, took it back and now the second one has the same problem.
The gas bottle does looks like it has condensation and very cold to the touch. when the heater switches of it will take about 3 hours to ignite properly again
