The i seems stuck on Smith Corona
When I turn on the typewriter the i just keeps printing over and over like someone is holding it down. If I try to type another letter it will type that one but then the i lever is still up and making noise.

Sound like a small spring is off the typebar cam.If you move the I by hand you may be able to see if the spring os off or there is a bind in the typebar. This will also cause repesating
