Report "The lift gate is extremely heavy to open. I believe the gas supports gave out. The first one gave out right after I purchased the car. I wasn't sure that was the problem then. I just realized it was a little more difficult to lift. Then the second one recently went out. Now it is impossible to open. I have to have someone hold the door and risk being crushed beneath it if they were to lose control of the weight. Is this easy to "Do it yourself" fix? ...and how"
