The machine overheats the water. It started suddenly one morning. Coffee comes out burned now, and if I run water through the machine, it comes out boiling. I can feel the heating element even through the machine
The heating element is likely sticking or has gotten wet and corroded,i would try cleaning the element if dirty looking or pushing it closed with finger tip to see if it springs back in place.if this doesnt work i would not try to use could start fire easily if on too long
Thanks for the tip! My only problem is that I can't even get the machine open - there are no screws, only bolts which so far I have been wary to pry open. How do I get to the heating element? Thanks for the tip! My only problem is that I can't even get the machine open - there are no screws, only bolts which so far I have been wary to pry open. screws may be hidden under foot pads-If they are rubber they should pop out,if they are plastic you may be able to pry them off with small flat head screwdriver, wouldnt force it if not really surescrews may be hidden under foot pads-If they are rubber they should pop out,if they are plastic you may be able to pry them off with small flat head screwdriver, wouldnt force it if not really sure
