I tried submitting my machine's problem last night, but did not do it well. So here goes again. The machine is a Brother Disney, model SE-2700. (1) It will only form long stitches. Stitch length will not change even though the LCD screen shows shorter stitches after I have made the change. (2) Reverse button will not respond. When the button is pressed, the machine continues to sew forward. Turning the wheel to reverse manually doesn't work. Although the fabric feeds back, the stitches are not formed. (3) The bobbin being used is the right size. (4) Shuttle and area have been cleaned, even though they weren't dirty. (5) The embroidery unit still works perfectly, making great Mickey Mouse and other characters. Guess that is it. Thanks.
