Hi, I am having problem with my microdock. About 25 % of the times I try to connect it to my Pcmcia card it will not find the microdock. I then try to reconnect it in all kind of ways. When I get this error some of the lights on the microdoc is lighted up and it is almost always different lights that is shining. Even the red phantom power light can shine even that this function is set off. When the Microdock is connected properly the lights goes out and only the blue E-MU logo is illuminated. I try the following things when the Microdock wont connect: 1. Turning the Microdock off wait for half a minute and then turning it on again. 2. Removing the PCMCIA-card via the safe remove taskbar icon. Reconnecting the PC-card again and then when the dsp patchbay has been started I connect the Microdock again. 3. Restore default via Start Meny --> Creative Proffesional -->E-muPatchMix DSP --> Restore Defaults. Restart the computer and try to reconnect again. 4. The same as nr 3 but without turning off the microdoc. 5. Changing the EDI Cable to a normal Lan cable. Some times I get it to work when I change the EDI cable. This is very strange because when the Microdock wont connect I change the EDI cable and then it starts working again. I then use the second cable as long as it works and when it stops working I change to the E-MU EDI Cable. I have also tried a third cable when the the other two wont work. But mostly it doesn't work to change the EDI cable and I try all the things I mentioned above. Sometimes for an hour and sometimes in 5 minutes and then suddenly when I almost lost hope it starts working. It is so frustrating that I don't know what causes the problem and if it is something special that I do when it starts working again. I also have another problem. When I have used the PCMCIA-card with the microdoc for hours and sometimes just 30 minutes it just stops working. Everything in the patchMix just dies. Even the PCMAICA-card wont work. I then have to restart my computer and then the PCMCIA-card will work again, but the microdoc wont connect as usual. Equipment i use. E-MU 1616, with PCMCIA-Card with latest drives from E-MU website. Computer. IBM Lenovo X60s, Intel Core Duo 1.6 GHz, 1,5 Gb Ram, 320 Gb Harddrive Software: Windows XP SP3 Swedish, Cubase SX3, Amplitube Thank you for your help.
