The monitor will run fine for awhile, then the screen will just go blank, this seems to happen with the DVI cable connected to our two desktops with good video cards. I've been using it all week connected to a laptop using a VGA cable with no problem. If we sleep the systems, then wake them again, the image comes back but it will go off again after a number of minutes. I've turned off screen savers and adjusted power settings to make sure the computer itself is not the cause. I've also connected other monitors to these computers and verified that they work fine, so I've been able to narrow it down to this monitor. The only thing I haven't done is try a different DVI cable. I'm baffled

Check the monitor's internal setup program.
Some monitors have a preset for idle timeout. Of course, as long as you're using the computer, this feature should not be activated and the timer should start over each time you perform any activity on the monitor.
If this is the problem, it should be a simple matter to turn off the time-out feature or set the time to a very high number so that it seldom (if ever) takes effect.
