Check to see if you have 12 volts into the coil...the coil fires based on engine RPMs (trigger), you can check for this at coil while cranking. you are looking for a test light to flash on and off quickly while cranking..if all is good check underside of cap for carbon tracking (dark thin lines in plastic)...good luck, let me know marty
