The padding on the headband has become stick and leaves makes on every things and sticks to my hair. The earmuff bit is also starting to go the same. I have only had them for 6 months is this normal?

I would not think so! They might still be under guarantee, so you could contact Skull Candy over this problem. However if for example they have come into contact with a hair product, or something else that might cause them damage, then you might not be covered.
