The players starts playing and then says file error
There are songs on my player, but when I push play the songs start playing and then it says file error. When I plug it up to my computer there are no files showing on the device. Is there a way to remove the songs and start over?

If this is a USB MP3 player and you have unwanted songs on it, you might try plugging it into your computer and formatting it like a portable hard drive. This should reset everything back to a factory default and then the computer and the MP3 player should get along better. Good Luck
