The problem started the day befor i ran out of gas.put gas in it and was fine.pulled in garage and left it till next day.started car backed up then it started to bog out and then died .put gas back in it.now wont start just turns but not getting any kind of fire to it at all

My first guess is you have a fuel pump failure. Then running out of gas was enough to overheat it. Pumps do not respond well to running out of gas especially when the pump is getting old and weak. A fuel pump pressure test will verify this or you can spray some brake You can spray some brake cleaner or carb cleaner or quick start to confirm its a fuel issue.
