The red light is always on in my humidifier control panel. When I set it to test, I hear nothing clicking. No water runs into my humidifier. The unit (model 600) is about 6 years old

If your using an outdoor thermostat then it may not be connected properly or the manual mode resistor wires are touching. these are connected on the humidistat just to the right of the H H terminals
