The saniflow system keeps tripping. The fuse in the fuse box trips each time the electricity to the unit is switched on. Does this suggest the saniflow is broken or leaking or something???? Why would it cause a short circuit like this. As long as I keep the power to the saniflow switched off the other power sources on the same circuit operate i.e kitchen, fridge etc..... but the water from the loo and bath will not drain off. Do I need a plumber or an electrician to resolve this problem? thanks, Steve
Your macerator is either shorted or your system is plugged to the point that the pump won't run. If it is a unit that hasn't been used for a while, solids left in the system may be giving you problems. I don't know what chemicals are safe for this unit and/or if plunging may help. If it is a pump with a rubber impellor, the impellor may have come apart. I would think a plumber would have installed the unit and an electrician wired it so, as long as the power is off I would think it's a plumbers job. Good luck.
