Does the screen appear distorted;does it move as you shift left/right/up/down? IF THIS IS TRUE, YOU PROBABLYHAVE THE RESOLUTION SET WRONG....RIGHT CLICK ANYWHERE ON THE SCREEN;PROPERTIES;SETTINGS; ADJUST SLIDEBAR TO PROPER RESOLUTION FOR YOUR MONITOR
I had this problem: Hans-g 17inch monitor HW173D display shifted to the right about 1/3 of the way off running XP 64bit with ATI catalyst control center . I am running dual monitors and was using the hans-g as a secondary.
Went through ALL the settings in the hans-g display menu, must have pressed the auto-adjust a million times, went through all the settings on windows display with out any positive results. I tried unplugging the monitor power cord and display cord and still the same shifted display.
What fixed it: I went into windows display settings and changed the hans-g from being the secondary display to the primary. The display then righted it self to center. Then I changed it back to secondary display and it stayed center. That's what fixed it for me, strange I know because there was no actual setting that was causing the problem. Why this worked I have no real idea, many guesses but they would be just that, guesses. Hope this helps anyone having the same or similar problems. Roman.
