Your answer depends on where it is frozen. If at the start up screen or accept screen then you will need to call Rand McNally Tech Support. If you can get to the main menu and the GPS is freezing when in use then there are several items to review to troubleshoot a freezing issue.
First reset the device.The reset button may be on the side or back of your device depending on the model number.This will clear any running processing on the device.
Inside vehicle location - Have you recently moved the device to another location inside the vehicle.A temporary loss of signal due to the device not having a clear view of the sky can cause it to freeze.
Power - are you using the Rand McNally provided charger and have the device plugged directly into the vehicle?If you are using a splitter please remove that.Plug the device directly into the vehicle and press the rest button and see if that resolves the issue.Have you noticed if the charge indicator is always on?Does it flash?
Updates - have you updated your device recently?Updates are imperative to keep your device current with the most recent software.Have you seen any error messages on the screen?
Vehicle location - Experiencing severe weather?Traveling through a lot of rolling hills?Does it happen in the same area all the time?
