The selecttech dumbell adjuster will not move. It says there is 7.5 lbs on the bar and there is actally only 2.5 lbs. The adjuster wheel will not turn. How do you fix it?
Sport & Outdoor - Others - Bowflex - Selecttech Dumbbells
Push the button on the bottom of that releases the adjuster to spin. Set both to sides to 5, put all the weights back and your ready to place it back and select a weight.
Rick, look on the base for 2 metal tab protruding towards the dumbbells one on each side. There will be a corresponding button on the dumbbells that gets pushed every time you lower them into the base.Rick, look on the base for 2 metal tab protruding towards the dumbbells one on each side. Thank you very much. Worked for me.... Still don't know what caused this situation but happy they are functioning correctly again.Thank you very much. Worked for me.... Still don't know what caused this situation but happy they are functioning correctly again.
One of mine was stuck in the plastic base and one side would not turn. I could see that it wasn't quite all the way down in the base by maybe two or three millimeters. The knob was between 52.5 and 5 lbs. Very frustrating. I used a dentist pick to push up the button which still would not release the pin. Finally I took the base (4 screws) off and removed the two metal brackets held on with two screws on the side that was stuck. It came apart nicely and seems to work fine after reassembly. There is some slight damage to the plastic guides on several of the weights probably from becoming stuck and possibly from me trying to turn the knob with the weights stuck. I think it will be fine. I hope that helps someone who had the same problem as I. Regards.
OMG you are a genius! It worked so well and I'm sooooo happy I can get back to working out instead of getting worked up about the Bowflex not working. Thank you so very much. I sure didn't know about that button. Thank you, thank you and thank you!OMG you are a genius! Make sure the plates are facing the right direction. One side has a hump that faces outward.
