The silver tool catch button and spring popped off of my dc25 wand assemby. the catch button does not look broken, but i can not figure out how to load the spring and button back on the wand

There should be a spot for the spring on the latch and a spot for the spring to sit on the actual wand. It should be held by two tabs on each side. Really they just pop on and off.
